My blog represents recent travels in Mexico followed by 12 years of travel reports published during my sojourns with Beatlick Joe Speer. He was my partner of 22 years and together we published "Beatlick News: A Poetry & Art Newsletter." My column LIVE FOR ART appears numerous times in my travel reports. Beatlick Joe's book "Backpack Trekker: A 60's Flashback," is available at amazon.com. Beatlick Press in Albuquerque carries on the tradition of "Beatlick News" archived in five universities, Poets House in NYC, and Joe's personal library is archived at New Mexico State University, curated by Laurence S. Creider, Ph.D. My Oaxacan reports debunk the over-hyped myth of widespread violence in Mexico.
