My cousin Joan Brooks emailed:

Pamela,  Prayers of gratitude go forth one day at a time as you and Joe continue your journey of life together.  It is rare to have such a relationship as you and Joe enjoy.  May it survive this present detour and find the road to whatever your hearts desire.

Dear Joan, 

You are right. My relationship with Joe is special.I have always known it and I have never taken it forgranted.

Our friend putting us up here in Panama City is a spiritual person. He has traveled to Tibet and many other spiritual locales. He gave us a little book to read, "At the Feet of the Master."

We won't know anything until Wednesday, noon, the doctor's report on the biopsies on Joe's liver and pancreas. I already am giving him two shots a day - blood thinners - to help prevent any more clots.

I am spiritually preparing myself, staying positive fighting hard against any negative thinking and meanwhile preparing myself to be of acceptance. If there is a greater plan for Joe then I can only accept that. He being the exceptional person that he is I hope has more to do on this earth.

I am trying to tap into something greater than what I have manifested in the past. My best self. Your words have meant a lot to me. Thank you so much. We will know it all by Wednesday afternoon, in the mean time there is nothing to do but enjoy this part of the world.
